Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-09
This page describes what information TGBATG ("we," "us," "this site") collects when you visit tgbatg.org, how outbound affiliate links work, and how to contact us with questions. This is a plain-language summary, not a legal document; if you have specific legal questions about your rights, please consult a qualified professional.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics (Google's gtag.js) to understand overall
traffic and usage, such as which pages are viewed and general visitor counts. Google
Analytics may collect information such as your IP address, browser and device type,
approximate location, and pages visited, in accordance with
Google's
own privacy policy. We do not receive your name, email address, or other
directly-identifying information through Google Analytics.
Affiliate Links
Many product links on this site (primarily to Signature Solar, and some to Amazon) are affiliate links. If you click one of these links and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. The products shown are part of our own experience and notes; they are not a recommendation to buy or install anything. See the affiliate disclosure in the footer of every page for more detail.
When you click an affiliate link, this site sends a Google Analytics event named
affiliate_click that records the product (name and catalog ID), the kind
of link clicked, the merchant's domain, the type and address of the page you were on,
and the video page it was on, if any. When you click a link to another website that is
not a store link (for example YouTube), it sends an outbound_click event
with that site's domain and the page you were on. When you copy the discount code from
the banner on a page that has it, it sends a coupon_copy event with the page you were on (not
the code). None of these events contains a name, email address or other personal
information. This privacy page and the "page not found" page do not run Google
Analytics, so links and the banner on those two pages are not measured. The merchant (for example Signature Solar or Amazon) sets
its own cookies to credit a sale to us; their privacy policies apply to what they
collect.
Local Storage
To keep a simple record of which affiliate links are used, this site stores the last 100 affiliate-link clicks (product name, page, time and link address) in your browser's local storage. That record stays on your device; it is not sent to us or to anyone else. You can clear it by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Information You Provide Directly
If you email us at contactus@tgbatg.com or message us through our Discord server, we receive whatever information you choose to share in that message (for example, your email address and the contents of your message). We use this only to respond to you and do not sell or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
Cookies
Google Analytics may set cookies in your browser to distinguish visitors and sessions. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect how some site features behave but will not prevent you from reading site content.
Third-Party Sites
This site links to third-party sites (including YouTube, Signature Solar, and Discord). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. Please review their respective privacy policies directly.
Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this page from time to time to reflect changes in how the site operates. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
