What the manufacturer documents
- ECO-WORTHY's product page for the PowerMega 314 51.2V 314Ah battery (viewed 2026-10-13; the page has no version number) lists model ECO-LFP4831400, 314 Ah, 16.08 kWh, rated voltage 51.2 V, a voltage range of 40 to 58.4 V and a maximum charge voltage of 58.4 V. The text on the page says the battery is composed of 16 A-grade LiFePO4 3.2 V 314 Ah cells. The page also links a user manual and a certification document; we do not cite them here. (eco-worthy.com)
- The same page lists a standard charge current of 150 A and a standard discharge current of 150 A, a maximum charge current of 200 A and a maximum discharge current of 200 A with the condition 'initial temp. 35 C or below'. It also lists a charge temperature range of 0 to 55 C and a discharge temperature range of minus 20 to 55 C. (eco-worthy.com)
- The page lists a battery weight of 279.99 lb (127 kg) and a battery size of 33.13 by 19.69 by 10.24 in (84.15 by 50 by 26 cm) without labelling which number is height, width or depth. It lists a maximum of 15 units in parallel. (eco-worthy.com)
- The page's description says the battery has a cycle count of up to 10,000 (listed as 0.5 charge/discharge; more than 80 percent SOH), a 200 A Pace BMS with a 7-inch color touchscreen and an advanced pre-charge circuit 'with passive balancing', and 2 breakers of 125 A (250 A) with tripping devices described as double protection. The page headline and feature text describe 'active cell balancing', so the page itself uses both terms. The page says the battery is 'UL 1973 Certified' and 'backed by a 10-year warranty', and a separate line says 'up to 10-year warranty'. The warranty terms are not on the product page; we did not read ECO-WORTHY's warranty page. (eco-worthy.com)
What happened to us
- The first capacity test we ran on this battery was on our Victron system. In the video we said the battery was the only one switched on and was pushing out about 154 A through a Lynx Power In and a Victron SmartShunt to Victron Quattro inverters set up in split phase, feeding a 50 A receptacle that was charging a Tesla outside the garage. We said the other batteries on the system were off. We did not say in the video which meter the 154 A figure was read from. (video)
- At the end of the test we said the battery was at 1 percent left, that we had turned the discharge rate all the way down before filming, that we had checked the Victron SmartShunt and that it had already passed 315 Ah. We said that the answer to whether the battery provided the rated capacity 'seems to be yes' because 314 Ah had been passed. That is our reading from a single run. The transcript does not give the shunt's display reading or its settings, and does not say which device showed the 1 percent or whether the figure is the shunt's or the battery's. (video)
- We said the battery showed a few warnings at the end and that we expected them to be about low state of charge. We did not read out what the warnings were. (video)
- While the battery was supplying about 154 A we said the 2 gauge cables that came with it were warm to the touch. We did not measure their temperature (we said we wished we had a heat gun). We said the cables are silicone, rated for 200 C, with crimped lugs, and that the battery has one set of quick-connect terminals that do not fit the connectors on our EG4 batteries. The owner later confirmed the cable gauge as 2 AWG. (video)
- On the outside we showed a double breaker that we read as about 125 A each, a 250 A DC rated breaker, a recessed reset button, DIP switches, dry contacts, RS485, CAN, RS232, RS485 in and RS485 out ports, a state-of-charge indicator, run and alarm lights, a power switch, a grounding lug, holes for L brackets and metal casters. We said there is a separate app for Bluetooth and WiFi. We said the screen was colorful and responsive, with a low pixel density, and that the bezel was uneven. (video)
- We opened the battery and looked inside without taking it apart further. We said the enclosure had cross bracing and a metal cage, the cells were laid out and connected in series, the balance leads looked spot welded, there were temperature sensors (NTC) in several places, the parallel conductor was bolted down and wrapped in heat protection, the wires were zip tied and some connections were glued, the BMS had a row of FETs and looked replaceable, and the cells looked slightly larger than ones we had seen in other batteries. We said we could not read the BMS model number and could not see which cells were used without taking the battery apart, which we did not do. We said we could see daylight through the board behind the front panel and that the battery is not designed to be water resistant. (video)
- The owner's account, from the video and confirmed later: we bought this battery ourselves on eBay with our own money and that ECO-WORTHY did not send it. We said we could not find this battery on ECO-WORTHY's website when we filmed, and that a different 314 Ah battery had just been launched on the website. (video)

What we did not verify
- This page sets out what the manufacturer lists and what we did on one battery. It does not say whether a listed figure is met, and it is not a recommendation to buy, install, change or repair anything.
- Our capacity figure is one run, read as an approximate amp-hour count from a Victron SmartShunt. The owner later described it as a full discharge test starting from a full charge. Not recorded: how the battery was charged beforehand, the numeric starting and final voltage and state of charge, the cut-off, the warnings shown at the end, the run time, the shunt's settings and display reading, and whether the count was reset before the run. The meter accuracy was not checked.
- Conditions were not controlled. We did not record ambient or battery temperature, and the discharge current was about 154 A at the start and then turned down before the end; the listed standard current is 150 A. Capacity measured in amp-hours at a different current or temperature is not directly comparable with a listed rating.
- We did not measure energy in kWh, weight, dimensions, cycle life, efficiency, balancing, voltages or any protection or temperature limit. We did not take the cells out or identify them.
- We cannot tell that our unit is the same model or revision as the listed ECO-LFP4831400; the owner thinks it was the first-generation version of the battery but is not sure, and the label and revision were not recorded. In the video we said the battery was not on ECO-WORTHY's website when we filmed it and that the website listed a different 314 Ah battery; that is the owner's account, and the battery was bought on eBay. The product page was read on 2026-10-13, seven months after the video, and may have changed.
- The transcript of the video has automatic captions that read 'EcoFlow' in places; the owner confirms these mean ECO-WORTHY. Some words are unclear. Readings are marked approximate.
- The product page uses both 'active' and 'passive' balancing in different sentences; we report both and make no choice.
- ECO-WORTHY's own site did not give us a datasheet, so the specifications here are the ones on its product page, read on 2026-10-13. That page also links a manual and a certificate hosted on a third-party file service. We did not cite them, so this page does not report anything from them, and what we describe here is what we think we found on the product page. The product page may change. We have not seen any test report. We make no claim about wiring, cable sizing, safety, suitability or compatibility; follow the manufacturer's documents and a qualified professional.
Questions and answers
What capacity does ECO-WORTHY list for this battery, and what did you measure?
ECO-WORTHY's product page lists 314 Ah and 16.08 kWh. In one discharge test the Victron SmartShunt showed more than 315 Ah when the battery was at about 1 percent left. The owner describes it as a full discharge from a full charge; the numeric starting and final state of charge, the voltages, the temperature and the exact final reading are not recorded, so this is one approximate reading and not a verification.
At what current was the test run?
We said the battery was supplying about 154 A at the start. ECO-WORTHY lists a standard discharge current of 150 A and a maximum of 200 A with an initial temperature of 35 C or below. We turned the rate down before the end and did not record the later current.
Is this the same battery as the one on ECO-WORTHY's website now?
We do not know. We said in the video that it was not on the website when we filmed. The current page lists the PowerMega 314, model ECO-LFP4831400. The owner thinks ours was the first-generation version but is not sure, and the model and revision were not recorded.
What did you see when you opened it?
We looked at the cells, busbars, breaker, BMS, sensors and wiring without taking them apart. What we said is a visual impression from the video, not a test of cell quality, balance or protection.
Is this a recommendation to buy this battery?
No. It lists two sources side by side. Choosing, sizing, wiring and protecting a battery is for a qualified professional using the manufacturer's current documents.
