Hey, what's up, guys? I'm going to show you how to set up uh communications between this EG4 worthy uh 314 amp hour battery and this EG4 6000 XP inverter. These instructions will also work for the 12000 XP. You just have to use the interface a little bit differently.
First thing we're going to do is we're going to come around here. We're going to get a standard ethernet cable and we're going to connect this ethernet cable to this port here that's called CAN. And then we're going to set the battery address to uh one, which means the first dip switch is going to be up and all the other dip switches are going to be down. Using that ethernet cable from CAN, we're going to connect to this port right here, which is bat com, which is uh the port on the far left.
Then we're going to go to this screen inside the battery. We're going to go to CAN, select CAN, then you're going to select Luxpower. Once you select that, you'll have an option to save. You're going to save that.
Uh I've already done that in this case. And then you're going to go to this inverter setting. You're going to go uh hold the enter button down for about 4 seconds, 3 to 4 seconds. You're going to go to option three, hit enter, and then once it goes there, it's going to tell you uh you're at the battery option, right?
So then you're going to hit enter. And it's going to say type lithium ion. Assuming we can get this thing to focus right here. Type lithium ion.
Then we're going to select enter, and then we're going to go to battery brand, and we're going to select six because six is uh Luxpower according to this. So we're going to go ahead and hit enter. Once you hit enter, the inverter will reset, and then it'll come up with the battery communications working as you can see right here. 99% battery, battery is full, lithium ion.
As you can see right here, if you go all the way back out, this is going to also be 99% full, and now battery communications is working between this battery and this inverter.
