In this episode, we take a look at the Pioneer diamante Low-Ambient 24,000 BTU 2-Ton 20 SEER Wi-Fi Ductless Mini Split Inverter and Air Conditioner with Heat Pump 208/230-Volt. This unit can heat with low ambient temperatures and is able to produce heat during the winter storm of 2024. The temperatures outside are well below freezing in the teens and it can produce up to 125° heat on the inside unit. This unit draws close to 2400 W during operation with the fan on high, and has quiet operation. It's worked fine during the snow storm and has been a reliable unit.
This unit is powered using an offgrid system powered by the EG4 12000XP and EG4 wallmount & lifepower4 batteries. Due to being an inverter type unit, it can slowly ramps up power, and the power draw is what is needed by the unit at the time. No large startup surge.
